- Where
- Local river, lake, or indoor rowing facility
Rowing practice begins at 6:00 AM at a nearby body of water or indoor rowing facility, depending on weather conditions. The practice session lasts for two hours, starting with warm-ups and stretching exercises. Students are assigned to teams and boats, working in synchronized strokes to power their vessels across the water. Coaches focus on developing rowing techniques, endurance, and teamwork, with each crew working to improve their speed and coordination. Rowing builds physical strength, cardiovascular endurance, and mental toughness, as students must work in harmony to achieve maximum efficiency. Indoor rowing machines are used for conditioning exercises and to simulate the rowing motion on days when weather doesn’t permit outdoor practice.
