The event is held on a Saturday morning at 8:00 AM or after school at 4:00 PM during the week. The course winds through wooded trails, grassy fields, or designated paths around the school, depending on the location. Runners are grouped by skill level or age, with both individual and team awards. The event promotes endurance, perseverance, and camaraderie, with spectators encouraged to cheer from various points along the course.
