5th Grade Mathematics

Hey there!

I'm super excited about the 24-25 school year. My name is Mr. Boehm and I am a part of the Patton ISD 5th Grade team. More importantly, I am thrilled to be your learner's teacher! It's going to be a great year that's full of learning and new adventures. I know that our learners can rise to the challenge. I look forward to meeting everyone on the first day of school, but first, I want you to know a little about me:

I was born in Minnesota. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Minnesota where I earned my bachelors degree in Elementary Education, and then my masters degree in Counseling and Higher Education Administration. I transitioned to Tegan in January of 2019 to assume the open fourth grade position. Since then, I've earned my Initial teaching license in Minnesota and Level I teaching license in California. It's been a wonderful journey and I can't wait to start this new school year with our new class! I love to spend time with my family, stay active through sports/activities, and serve the community. I try to bring my passion, energy, and creativity into everything that I do, including teaching.

I am currently creating our new learning environment. We will continue to utilize IXL and Lexia Core5 as our Tier II instructional technology, and both Math (GoMath) and ELA (Reading Street) will include whole-class and small group instruction. New this year, I will be using the Epic! (reading) and Boom (task cards) Learning (math) systems for practice work.
